Have you ever wondered what happens to all the material that gets taken away from your property? Everything from the tree branches that get sent through the wood chipper, the trunks of the trees that cant be chipped or even the bush trimmings and and other debris taken away from your property. Here at Entropy Tree & Landscape we strive to recycle 100% of the material! Check out how this is achieved below. Contact us if interested in purchasing our recycled materials!
Wood Slabs/Rough Cut Lumber
The wood that gets hauled away from our large tree jobs gets turned into usable lumber. We have a saw mill at our shop where the logs are turned into lumber for craftsman to build with
Firewood/Smoking Wood
Some wood just doesnt make sense to run through the sawmill for various reasons and this ends up in the firewood pile. We also put all the scraps from the sawmill in this pile too. A majority of our firewood is hardwood. This is the type of wood to use for heat and burning indoors. Softwood can be burned outside and in fire pits. We also have a seperate pile of cherry and fruit wood for those who enjoy smoking various types of meat. Some also will use hardwoods such as oak, maple, or hickory as well for smoking.
Wood Chips/Mulch
All our wood chips are turned into mulch. There are very many varieties and applications for mulch products. Natural, single ground mulch is the same thing as regular wood chips. These have no dye added and have gone through the wood chipper one time so larger pieces can be found in this. Many people use this for storm water management on construction sites, garden beds to keep weeds down and restore nutrition to the soil or large areas they dont want a dyed mulch for.
